when the truth came
I built a garden within my heart, With dreams of us, a fragile start. But gardens wilt, and petals fall, When truth arrives and shatters it all. He spoke her name with stars alight, A spark so pure, it stole the night. His laughter , his smile -- they weren't for me, But for her not me; a distant dream. A quiet ache, a bitter sting, A love that flew on broken wings. But even through the pain, I see, To love him means to set him free. So I’ll let him go, though my heart may break, His happiness is worth the ache. And someday soon, I’ll find my way, When my own skies bloom in brighter days.
