When The Sun Goes Down
They asked, what happens when the sun goes down? I gasped, looked at them, eyes looked down. How can they ask such a thing? Is that really what they think? A lot happens at night. When the sun flies out of sight. I am afraid of the dark. That's when thoughts start to park. I am scared of the night. That's when thoughts draw nigh. I am asthmatic. Allergies making it dramatic. Panic attacks and anxious at night. Headache and dizziness... never light. They say, there's no sleep for the wicked. That's kinda weak and weird. Thoughts keep me up at night. Though my mornings are kinda light. The mornings. They always come. Sleep or not. Don't even knock. The sun awakens. You work like a maiden. Like it's what you were made for. You work until in the afternoons at four. Then you get to rest. You can sigh at least. Though rest is cut short by the approaching darkness. You know what comes with the dark, don't you??
