when the rain comes down
...when the rain comes down. Inside my heart falls a memory with all the sensations of rain. The cooling air reminds me of your arms. Always there, my walking dream. Your voice follows rain drops. I hear your words, but not as a memory. They whisper caresses of your soul and faith, softly echoing the treasure of your heart the portraits of our moments. Still life visions around the dinner table, all the mornings we would wake and look at each other knowing each other's dream, every candle lit on each side of our bed, Listening to our favorite songs, not concerned about how loud it played. In those memories, a eternal light of peace with a ever blooming soul. Wherever I am, inside every dream, alongside every step, bound to every season and every color...you are there. As aqua dries into the thirsting ground and evaporated back to the sky, I think about you and the day you said goodbye.
