When silence loved her
They say the stars are a wonder, Guess they never saw her smile. They speak of angels walking earth She must have walked a while. No wings to part the heavens, No voice to calm the rain, Just silence, pain, and stories And somehow, still, no shame. Then the attraction... Wait— They call it love. That feeling... It doesn’t leave. It lingers in the quiet hours, In glances I thought were mine. It haunts the words I never said, And plays them back in time. I never told her she was light When my whole world went dim. Never said she felt like morning When all I knew was sin. I feared she'd see the cracks in me The parts I’d learned to hide, So I kept her at a distance, While breaking down inside. Now every smile she gives the world Feels like a borrowed grace, And I just watch her from afar... Guess they never saw her face.
