"When Old Friendships Change"
Old friendships are the truest kind, We shared our hearts, our dreams, our mind. Laughed through days and cried through nights, In each other, we found our light. But time has passed, and things have turned, A secret now, in silence burned. The faces stay, the names the same, Yet something’s lost within the flame. A new friend joined, unknown to me, Hidden behind a mystery. No longer do we share it all, That bond we had begins to fall. Old friendships once were pure and deep, But lies now stir beneath the keep. It isn’t time that made it fade, It’s truth and trust that were betrayed. Still, I believe they once were true, Before the silence slowly grew. Old friendships, strong, don’t break apart— Unless a secret breaks the heart.
