When Love Taught me My Name
Before I met love, it was just me and grief. A friend I've known for so many years. A voice in the dark that held more than just words. A laugh in the midst of my fragile thought. Anguish was all I knew. Then I met love, He sang songs that healed my heart Held my hand into the hour of agony. She Wrapped me inside walls that suddenly held peace for me. Opened doors that are filled with laughter, Breathed life into the odes that only knew pain. He shut down the walls that had long buried me. Poured in to my cup- love that filled my empty pot. Before love taught me my name, I was just a flower that was floating, in the garden that was flooded. I was a voice that carried so much agony. Love Taught me that my name is Laughter. That I am breath of a fresh flowers in the garden that's blooming. He taught me that I am more than just grief. He taught me that I am alive and I am love itself.
