When Love Finds You

Within my restless heart, I wandered lost, unsure where to start, With friendships frayed and love a distant star, I carried wounds and many a scar. I sought connection, yearned for a touch, But trust seemed fragile, felt like too much, In the crowd of faces, a sea of names, No one ignited my spirit’s flames. Then he appeared, a boy so kind, With gentle eyes and an open mind, His laughter bright, a soothing balm, In his presence, I found a calm. He listened deeply, with a heart so true, Every word, every thought, he knew, He saw my fears, yet never turned away, With him, I felt no need to sway. Slowly, my walls began to fall, I let him in, embraced it all, His kindness like a guiding light, Turning my darkness into light. His courage strong, his spirit free, In him, I saw the best of me, With every smile, with every glance, He gave my heart another chance.
