"When Love Fades Into Silence"
Dreams dissolved like morning mist, Love blew out with no goodbye — What came was what I never guessed, Now I sit, and wonder *why*. Could it be I still adore The one who left my soul undone? Though you walked right out the door, My heart still whispers: *you're the one*. You bruised the place where hope had grown, The day I saw you walk away. You took my strength, left me alone, In silence, I begged you to stay. I gave my heart with trembling hands, Not out of need — but love so true. Yet you turned toward distant lands, And left me drowning without you. No candles burn where you once stood, No voice remains, just shadows near. You took the warmth, the light, the good — And left me with the coldest fear. Still, in this ache, one truth won’t lie: Though hurt, betrayed, and left to cry — My soul still calls your name each night, Still loves you in the dying light.
