WHEN IT'S OVER
When it's over, and love's flame has died, A sorrowful symphony echoes inside. Passion once fierce, now a distant ember, Leaving us broken, hearts torn asunder. Our souls entwined, once bound by desire, Now trapped in the ruins of a love that expired. Tears stain the fabric of memories we shared, As we confront the truth that neither of us dared. In the silence, echoes of laughter now fade, Replaced by the weight of mistakes we've made. The ache in my chest, a constant reminder, Of a love once vibrant, now lost in the fire. Words left unspoken, emotions concealed, As we navigate the wounds that won't heal. In the wreckage of dreams, we search for closure, But find only fragments, a painful exposure. Yet through the anguish, a glimmer remains, A flicker of hope amidst sorrow's reign. For when it's over, and darkness prevails, We learn to rebuild, to mend our torn sails.
