When I Needed You the Most
Oh, fate so cruel, why turn away? Why let my light begin to sway? No silver linings, just storms and pain, Each moment I gave was met with disdain. I stood by you through every fight, Held your hand through darkest night. Lifted you up when you fell to the floor, But when I was broken—you closed the door. I gave you strength with no demand, No favors asked, no helping hand. Just selfless love and words sincere, But you were gone when I needed you near. You made sweet promises, all in vain, But left me drowning in my pain. You vanished like a fleeting breeze, While I begged on shattered knees. I never asked for praise or fame, Just hoped you'd care when sorrow came. Yet silence echoed through my cries, While you wore masks and played disguise. You reached for me when skies turned gray, But when *my* world burned—you walked away. Now I see the truth unfold, A heart so selfish, distant, cold. I’m done with hopes that break and bend, With waiting for a fair pretend. No longer trapped in your cruel game, You lost someone who lit your flame. So let me walk this path alone, With silent tears I've always known. For I was real, and you were ghost— Gone... when I needed you the most. Aman
