when i gave you a rose
I placed it behind my back, hid it well, so you wouldn't notice it at first then i walked into the room heart on my sleeve and a pounding in my chest You almost hugged me when i revealed what was hidden, and you smiled. At the rose in front of you, A weak substitute, For my feelings that compiled. Then you held me for so long, time was no longer there. You kept the rose nearby, and i love you much more, than you are aware.
