When heavens and earth collide
When heavens and earth collide, maybe you can look into my eyes without any hint of guilt, and maybe the crumbling earth will push you to say “hello” for the first time. But heavens and earth are bound to just stare at each other, and the stars are tired of twinkling while you cloak yourself in fear, as the moon and the sun pass us by. When heavens and earth collide, maybe the walls of uncertainty that surrounds you, will break and let me in. Maybe you’ll see me through the dusty wind looking for you in the ruins. But heavens and earth remind me of a love between night and day, a lonely truth of a parallel world, for which being together is just a dream, always loving but never owning. Maybe the hours of waiting won’t stop, maybe the stares will never be an embrace, the glances will never be a kiss, but I’m here waiting for you in the horizon when heavens and earth collide. ©reddragonfly
