When Death Stares
The death stares circulating me, cumbersome they are! Grinning their teeth, like sharpened parapets chewing the distance of all that I perceive. Panting and slobbering like a dying dog in midsummer, my respite clings to a soft desperation. Eyes sleeping on blades of grass Lungs gulping the hot air and expelling my frightened pangs. My eyelids flutter to a near unconscious. They seek forbidden beauty underneath. While the memory of you dives from the highest plank. A warm smile ensues, My eyes awake, and separate all that is dying inside of me.
