When Carson let go...
The silence hit first, a thunderous hush, When once your laughter danced in rush. Now echoes haunt each hollow room, And every corner hums with gloom. Carson, you left with words so light, but tore my soul in silent fight. you said it rough, like a loud sigh, you left like love had passed us by. A storm, a fight, a bitter cry. The truth hurt: "Someone better." And why? I searched your words for something more, But found a stranger locked behind a door. Did I not love you hard enough? Was I too soft, or not enough? You held my faith like fragile thread, Then let it snap - now it's all dead. Yet I still wear your name like skin, though it burns with what could've been. I gather pieces of my pride, try not to crumble from inside. I whisper to the skies above, of how it hurts to lose your love. Carson, you were my safest place Now I am alone and lost in space.
