What's written is written
They say, "What's written for you will happen." Well, part of it already did, and It was the loss of the one who gave birth to me. I'm satisfied with it, 'cause it was meant to be, and there was wisdom behind it. I'm okay with it now. No constant complaints. No breakdowns. I just got used to it, and it doesn't affect me that much anymore. Though, when they talk happily about theirs in front of me, the pain hits hard, the vision turns dark, the atmosphere fills with void and gloom, and the voices start echoing around the room. Holding back tears is not the hardest part. Wearing a fake smile is. I push the pain back into my chest, making my heart beat faster without rest. I remember getting a perfect score once. I walked onto the stage and received my gift. But something felt missing, no one showed up, so I sat back down, and saw one crying for her daughter's success, telling her how proud she was. and I was sitting there silently, my eyes shining with tears, looking around for comfort, for peace, for someone to ease the pain. I'm not worried anymore. I'm not sad anymore. Just satisfied with everything. Because what's written is written.
