" what's worse"
What’s worse? To be wanted in the dark, But never loved in the light? Or to be loved from far away, By someone who won’t fight? What’s worse To hear the words that comfort lies, Or feel the weight of honest cries? To kiss a truth that scars your face, Or chase a dream you can’t replace? I knew the ending far too soon. Before the sun, I saw the moon. You smiled like spring, but winter stayed. You held me close—but love decayed. I tried to bargain with the stars “Just let me hold the whole of you.” But fate stood still, and time stood guard. And you gave only what was safe to lose. You have more of me Than oceans have waves, Than fire has heat, Than silence has graves. And I I hold your pieces Like cracked glass in my hands So little, so sharp, Still trying to understand.
