What's This I Feel?
What's this I feel, this weight that sits inside my chest, Like I don't have a direction, like I'm failing every test? Despite all of my struggles, I'm convinced I won't succeed, Like the harder that I try, the less likely I'll be freed. Why does it seem like everyone has paths they understand, While I'm just standing still, no map, no compass in my hand? I'm overwhelmed, I'm drowning in decisions I can't make, Terrified that every step I take will be a mistake. What do I do? I honestly don't know where I should turn, I'm paralyzed by fear of choices, bridges that I'll burn. I don't want to make decisions that I'll look back on with pain, But standing still forever feels like going just as insane. So what's this that I'm feeling? It's the fear of the unknown, The terror of not knowing if I'll ever find my zone. But maybe direction isn't something you just stumble on and find, Maybe it's built step by step, one decision at a time.
