What's Mine to Give pt. 2
Can I carry all this baggage, every bruise and every scar? Can I bury the fear of losing you, or will that only pull us far? I’m sorry if I’m heavy, if I cling like autumn leaves, Holding on to summer's whisper, afraid of winter's freeze. Can I just pull up the covers, hide my trembling in the dark? Save it all for another day, the unraveling of my heart. I can take it, I can make it, this silence that we share— But sometimes I feel this crack inside, a whisper of despair. This is all I’ve ever known, this way of wanting to belong, Afraid to break the silence, afraid to sing the wrong song. You can need me, you can leave me, but could you tell me when you go? I didn’t mean to tremble, I just didn’t want to show.
