Whatever Your Demon
Nowhere to run to and nowhere to hide. I think I'm dying from the inside. I've lived through anger and hate. I don't know how I can continue living this way. It's about survival and seeing past the pain. But I think to myself, I've got nothing to gain. Or at least that's the lie evil speaks and wants you to believe. It takes you down a long dark path. It will take everything till you have nothing left. You fight and fight just to stay alive. And just for spite somehow you reach deep to find the drive. The will to survive is a glorious thing. You know in your heart then you have everything to gain. You long for peace and to be faithful in good. But then you're demons rear their ugly heads in order to be fed. The darkness has come again. They claim they are your good friend. But you know they lie and they are ugly inside. So now the inside matches the outside. They bend their words to hide from others. Scared of being exposed, they run underneath the surface. You know when they are in you that you'll never win. It's a spiritual battle you fight. You know they are not right. Some battles are not meant for us to fight. You must pray to God to save your soul. Then and only then will you know where to go!
