What Then Shall I tell God
When mortal flesh succumbs to eternity's call, And I stand before the Divine Throne, to give account of all, What testament shall I bear? What chronicle of deeds shall I share? Shall I confess the hours squandered in hedonistic indulgence, The moments lost to intoxication's fleeting, fatal allure? Shall I avow the nights spent in licentious abandon, The days consumed by lust's insatiable, infernal fire? Or shall I proclaim my allegiance to a lifestyle that defies The sacred scriptures, the divine design? Shall I justify my choices, or plead for mercy's gentle rain? What response shall I receive from the Almighty's throne? Shall I hear the gentle whisper of forgiveness, or the thunderous roar of condemnation? The dichotomy of destiny's paths lies before me, A narrow, winding road that ascends to heavenly heights, A broad, well-trodden highway that descends into the abyss. Which trajectory shall I choose? Which fate shall I seal? In moments of introspection, I ponder the purpose of my existence, The raison d'être that underlies my mortal sojourn.
