What then?
Remember who you were and remember who I am, I remember who you were back then, so what did you expect, are you hoping I'll meet you where you're at, retract all my efforts walk backwards leaving footprints so you know where I went, and when you finally see, what then? We diverged off different roads a long time ago, why did you come back I want to know, Made sure to cover the footprints in the snow when you left me out in the cold. I made sure to blend in with the crowd. I didn't want to be found, so why now? What is this all about? I remember storms and droughts Stories you told the town, Finding shelter in a web of lies Told me that I'm safe hidden in plain sight While you surround my world with landmines. I scream let me out! These walls echo the screams of a girl the world drowned out. It didn't take you long for you to devour my humanity in this prison cell I'm losing my sanity. Leave a girl with her doubts she knows she's in hell. A part of me went missing, a part of me is still in that prison cell, why would I come out of hiding, why would I reveal myself? Just to show you what your missing? Do you feel like your missing out? What we had is history I will remain mystery as well as my whereabouts.
