What Silence Did to Me
I swallowed every word that had your name on it. Not because I didn’t feel them, but because I knew you wouldn’t catch them anyway. So I let them sink— deep into places even I couldn’t reach. You never heard how loud my silence was. How every “it’s okay” was breaking something in me. I became good at pretending nothing hurt, while everything did. And the worst part is— you’ll never know how much of me stayed quiet just to keep you.
