What must we do?
As men we suffer from within, We don't show our emotions easily, If we do they will say we're desperate, If we make mistakes or wrong the ones we care for, and beg for forgiveness they want us to show by showing our tears, When will the society heed our silent cries, And grant us the grace to falter and rise? In shadows we linger, our hearts tightly bound, While whispers of strength in our silence resound. Must we wear armor, a mask of disdain, To shield our frailty, to hide from the pain? Is vulnerability a sin of our kind, A cage built by norms that bind heart and mind? What must we do to reclaim our lost voice, To shatter the silence, to make a new choice? To speak of our battles, our fears laid bare, To find solace in truth, to breathe in the air.
