what is theatre?

what is theatre, one may ask? is it really just hiding behind a mask? no its far more meaningful, way more deep. its the dreams that give us hope and not the kind of dreams where we're asleep. playing a part just let's you really feel, even what you didn't know you felt just begins to heal. at this age, you never know what you want, but the stage is the only place that doesn't tell you : 'you can't'. A character thats written on paper, you begin to embrace. The thoughts and words crafted, are now given a face. From each character you steal away a few tiny bits, And it's beautiful to see in your life, how easily those pieces fit. 'What is the theatre' if someone again asks, tell them it's far beyond a mask. for a mask is when you want to hide away, and our stage is not that place where go astray, its the place in which we always want to stay. It is that place where we're truly alive, and not compromising to barely survive.
