What if I Tried?
What if I tried and weren't unsure? What if I tried and weren't so demure? The thin strand of reason wound tight like thread Is the same ball of treason that rolls within my head. Moving about without nary a sound Leaves me nothing to utter when opportunities abound. Only guessing that I am lacking. Against myself, I am stacking the odds, the belief, the feeling that I will always be left reeling. What if I tried life's futile game? What if I decided to leave differently than I came? What if I tried?
