What I want
In one of my poems, I tried to write like past writers I use thy, thou, thee, and see who it likely triggers I create images in my head that force me to feel a certain way Just so I can have something to write, something to display I’ve written everything about the woman I admire So, I guessed I’ve touched on what I want But surely it can’t be only women that I desire So, I ask myself, what do I want I want the melodies of this world Not just to spectate and not say a word I want to be able to create it Manipulate in ways that I see fit With every instrument obeying the command of my hand And everyone wishes to join my band I want to dance like the couples I see Flip and twirl till I feel dizzy People cheering my name as I make the scene Really, I just want to be seen I want to be fast, strong… versatile Make it feel like a breeze when I run a mile Be the reason why everyone shouts “GOAL” Everyone trembles when I hit the crossbar Chants from all angles when I’m on the ball Carry the team a trophy that doesn’t seem so far I want to play amongst the greatest of all time Make me worthy of every dime Break records as far as the eye can see Really, I just want to be seen
