what I never said,..
Was not silence, it was a whisper under the tongue, a sentence which was repeatedly placed against the palate - but never jumped. It was in your eyes, that you knew, and yet we both acted, as if there was nothing but wind between our words. It was like a silent promise that neither spoke, because both knew, it would break, barely touched by reality. We held it between us, like an ember in cold hands, enough, to warm ourselves - too little, to live. A silent fire, that slowly died out. Like a message in a bottle, caught in water and carried into the endless expanse – safely stored, yet lost. And sometimes I think, you might have found it on a day when the silence was louder than anything else. Perhaps you read, what I never said — with your eyes and your heart, and it was enough.
