What Exists Beyond the “Self”
The infinite search and imagination of the possibilities of being someone different from who we are today will make us die without ever having been anyone. So, perhaps the best we can do is to be who we are today, in the best possible way — knowing that we will encounter many versions of ourselves, naturally shaped over the passing of time, but only if we allow ourselves to be who we are today. Essentially, allowing ourselves to live, so that experiences take charge of polishing new versions. That said, let us let slip the idea that we control, even, all the versions we can and will become. No stone at the bottom of the sea becomes polished if it remains still and refuses its external forces. And there is no magic in this — only your self allowing itself to truly live, being who it is today in order to become someone different tomorrow. In that difference, only "time" controls that version — not you. Delegate some responsibilities to whom or to what they truly belong. The world is out there, scattered in many parts for you to search for a culprit — be creative and clever, and take your “self” out of the line of fire.
