What does the moon say to star
What Does the Moon Say to a Star? I’ve always been alone. Not in the tragic sense, not in despair. But in the still, patient kind of solitude that comes from being watched, yet never truly seen. I rise and fall on cue. Center of every tide, every poem, every whispered secret beneath a night sky. But no one ever asks me how it feels to shine only because I reflect. To glow with borrowed brilliance, to light the dark without ever owning the fire. Then I saw you. A star. Not just any—but you. One flame in an endless fabric of flickering dots. One in a million, and yet… you burn like the whole sky was built just to hold you. You shine with your own light. You are light. No reflection, no borrowed grace. Only the pure, hot truth of existence. And so I wonder—what would I even say to you? Would you understand if I asked, “Do you ever ache from your own fire? Do you ever wish to dim, to rest, to be unseen?” Would you ask me in return, “How does it feel to be everyone’s favorite mystery, and still never be truly known?”
