What did I do?

You called me names, Day after day, And little by little, You wore me away. I laughed it off, Or at least I tried, But there were nights I went home and cried. I'd stare at the ceiling, Alone in my bed, Repeating your voices Inside of my head. Maybe I'm ugly, Maybe I'm strange, Maybe there's something I need to change. That's what bullying does, It gets under your skin, Until one day you can't tell Where it ends and you begin. Then after all that, After all the pain, Your name appeared On my screen again. I accepted. Not because I trusted you. Not because I forgave you. Not because I forgot. I accepted because part of me Still wanted answers. But then came the screenshots. The sharing. The feeling I knew so well. That sinking feeling That no matter what I do, Someone is laughing. And maybe you'll never know What that feels like. To question every word. Every post. Every joke. Every part of yourself. To wonder if people hate you For reasons you'll never understand. The names stopped, But somehow they never left. They're still here, Hidden in every insecurity, Every doubt, Every mirror, Every silence. You got to move on. But I'm still picking up The pieces of a person Who spent too long believing
