What Am I?
I’m not the pretty girl, Who gets all the compliments, I’m not the smart girl, Who aces all her tests. I’m not the sporty girl, Who has too many medals. I’m not the popular girl, Who everyone really likes. I’m none of these things, So what am I? I’ll say I’m the author, Who writes tall tales. I’ll say I’m the poet, Who turns letters into art. I’ll always be the author, I’ll always be the poet. But never the main character, And never the poem.
