What always stayed

I remeber my first song. Other than the lullabyes and nursery rhymes my mither and grandmother used to sing to me as a child, My first song was Roar by Katy Perry At first I was scared, Frightened by the loud noise. What scared me most was the music video, Full of tigers roaring and running But, As I got older, I found my second song, "Hello by Adele" I liked that one better, with its calming beat Which also stirred your emotions. As more years went by, I knew and heard more songs I got to love more songs. They weren't your conventional songs for a kid my age They weren't songs like hip-hop, gqom, or even amapiano. They weren't songs you could dance to. They were deep songs. Songs that had a deep meaning behind them. Songs that are the definition of music. Sings that make you cry. Songs that make you smile. They were songs about love and heartbreak. Even during my first relationship, I would listen to music, helping me express feeling that even words couldn't express.
