What About Better
We weren't perfect, but nothing will ever be We were the closest I'd ever seen But how much closer could we have been? We were both already all in You said I was amazing You said that I was beautiful, crazy But maybe I was one more than the other Maybe you would've been better off with another Maybe I could've done more, controlled myself a bit Maybe I could've stopped my emotions from trapping me in a pit Because baby when I fell, I didn't fall alone I was in a pit and you were in a cyclone Your emotions were extreme, blowing you all around It seemed like I was the only thing that could hold you down But when I was in a dark place Sometimes I lost my grace I know things were out of our hands But what if I would've tried harder to stand What if I would've taken better care of you, remedied your mind Would our life paths have been redesigned? Would you still be here with me? Would we be as happy as can be? Would we be writing our own story? Would we have found our way to glory?
