We're all living pinnochios they say A phrase meaning we're all on a journey of self discovery. Most people would think about discovering something great However I don't dream of discovering great things I enjoy discovering weird things that make my heart feel full Like how my heart feels warm when my mother smiles Like how excited I get when I get to try a new type of caffeinated drink How I feel seen when a stranger smiles back at me on the street How I feel a weird pain in my chest when I read a good poetry All these small things make me feel so special A few months back I wanted to disappear But that dark phase was nothing but a blessing in disguise Now I'm happy with how my life feels to me And I don't care at all how it looks to others.
