weight of the world
My mind is a maze, a tangled web of thought A never-ending race, where worries are caught Each step I take, feels like a heavy load The weight of the world, upon my shoulders bestowed Anxiety's dark cloud, forever seems to loom A constant reminder, of the stress that fills the room My heart beats fast, my soul feels worn The pressure mounts, as the world outside is torn I search for a escape, a fleeting reprieve A moment's peace, from the stress that I can't leave But like a shadow, it follows me everywhere A constant companion, that I cannot share I yearn for calm waters, a peaceful shore Where the world's weight, is not mine to bore But until that day, I'll wander lost and blue Trapped in this cycle, of stress and anxiety too. © ASE
