Weight of expectations πͺ½π₯
Shackles of duty, chains of fame, Expectations' heavy weight, a lifelong claim, A burden borne, since childhood's dawn, To conform, perform, and forever dawn. A path predetermined, lined with strife, Where success and failure, cut like a knife, The constant pressure, a nagging voice, "You must achieve, you must rejoice." Family, friends, society's watchful eye, A never-ending test, where I must try, To measure up, to fit the mold, A perfect facade, a story to be told. But what of dreams, of passions pure? Do they not matter, or are they obscure? The weight of expectations, crushing me, A slow erosion, of identity. I yearn to break free, to spread my wings
