Weighed Down
Years have went by. I thought it would be gone. Something that lived inside of me, once buried has shown. It reared its ugly head. I guess it was starving. I wanted to let it die and I thought I'd said my final goodbye. I was standing in front of the mirror trying to get dressed. Unable to button my jeans, I was anything but impressed. Who is this monster I see in the reflection. I didn't know who it was and oh did I mention, I am three sides larger than what I once was. Can't wear any my clothes and you know it's no good. But weight there's more, the worst part for sure. I looked around again and noticed someone else came along. My demon of old, in an instant I knew. My eating disorder came back to get me for sure. . It said how you doing? I'm just passing thru.. I won't stay or invaid any of your personal space. But I can't help but noticed you've put on some weight. You know what to do all too well I may say. But I'll always be close by but I won't get in your way. But if you ever need me, all you have to do is shout. I can help you lose the weight. That's never been the debate. But I'll leave you alone to dress, while you continplate. and oh by the way, this is why you didn't have a date. TBC
