Wedding Vows 2027
I took my time writing these vows with the hope that the man of my dreams—the man God ordained for me—would be the one leading me to this altar. Your love took its time to find me, but it arrived. Not too late. Not before its appointed time. It came exactly when it was meant to—and it loved me slowly, and it loved me right. I vividly remember the day you slid into my DMs, seeking an amicable conversation—one you said would benefit us both. And being the guarded woman I was, I was rather disdainful of your presence. You came out of nowhere and disrupted my peace… or at least what I thought was peace at the time. The walls I had carefully constructed to ward off everyone—you unapologetically breached them. And I’m glad you did. I’m glad you were daring. I’m glad you were audacious enough to knock my walls down. From the moment my feelings became apparent, I never wavered—neither in thought nor in action toward you. Even though my best friend saw it long before I was brave enough to be honest with myself. Today, July 6th, 2027, I stand proudly at this altar with you. I promise to choose you—on the calm days and the challenging ones—with grace, faith, and love. And I vow to stand with you— my love, my pookie, my penguin (that’s an inside joke, y’all)— forever. So help me God.
