Weary heart
My heart is tired, worn out and weak A heavy burden weighs upon its beat The rhythm's slowed, the melody's bleak A symphony of sorrow, echoing me The strings are frayed, the chords are torn The harmony's lost, the love's forlorn The beats are labored, the pulse is slow A heart that's weary, with nowhere to go I've carried the weight of love and pain Through every storm, through every rain I've searched for solace, for a place to hide But my heart remains, a heavy, burdened tide Perhaps it's time, to let it rest To lay the weight, and let love nest To mend the tears, to soothe the soul To let my heart, once again, be whole.
