Gold and silver, riches abound But empty halls, with no love found A mansion grand, with rooms to spare But loneliness echoes, without a care A bank account full, with numbers high But tears fall silent, in a lonely sigh A life of luxury, with wants fulfilled But happiness elusive, like a fleeting yield I own the world, or so it would seem But in my heart, a hollow dream I'm lost in wealth, with no direction true A prisoner of riches, with nothing to do My wealth is a curse, a burden to bear A weight that's crushing, with no one to care I'd trade it all, for a love that's real But wealth without happiness, is a hollow feel In my opulent cage, I'm trapped and confined A life of wealth, without happiness, is a life left behind CHRISTOPHER EVANS
