Was My Heart So Warm for You to Leave It Open?
Too heavy to hold and too hot to carry, But wasn't that what you longed for? A bittersweet feeling, though you said it was quite unhealthy, Yet why did you bother to boil the water just to let it sit for another hour? You leave me here to wonder as the powder starts melting, And it keeps me up, spinning with thoughts that my world might end up collapsing. I told you, yet it became more bitter, for you ended up throwing It on the floor, where I am now weeping. When it was cool enough, you came back, As if the only thing to make it suitable for you was a setback. But it made things worse, causing the cup to crack, That's where you made amends for something you said you lacked. You can't even take a sip because you're afraid it might burn your tongue, But what can I do when it causes you such harm? You can't even breathe my steam, afraid it'd scar your lungs, But now you can't even stay longer in these arms where you once found warmth.
