Was it
Was it wrong to say yes to his request? In isolation and neglect, I now confess, I hoped obeying his wishes would bring me rest, Make me forget my mother's drug-induced mess. He sought my pictures, my compliance he won, He listened briefly, his desires outrun, then asked for more, His demands grew harsh, fear began to soar Twelve and twenty-three, a mismatched pair, I reached out for help, support, and grace, But my end of the bargain fell short in this space. Grounded and unloved, this is where I stand, Stripped of my escape, held tight in hand. Exploited and exposed, life's not been fair.Feeling unloved, with no friends by my side, I now question. Was it my fault to fall into this trap? Yearning for help, met with cruel slap. Sept 19th 2023
