Was I Not Good Enough
Was I not good enough? Or was it simply because you knew you were not good enough for me? I was so young, so innocent, and yet, so broken, I was abandoned by my father, As my mother was exiled to a cell, The pain of feeling so unloved, so unwanted, Fourteen years ago I knew you as my father, Now I know you as a distant stranger who I no longer know, Some days I pray for your return, Other days, I pray your heart burns and soul drowns in regret, The pain I felt then, Is one I surely, shall never forget.
