I've never been too smart, Couldn't truly see. Was I too naive , to let things be? Once I smiled with sun, pure and bright , Now I paint on joy, Lost I night Bruises bloom like petals, Delicate and dark. I've got stories to tell, if you'd only hear Years of being unwell, crippled by fear, Now I've built a shield, cold and high Distancing myself from the world eyes, I've become a ghost, Unseen in light Regret gnaws at memories, days once dear, No more feelings, no path clear. They say I've morphed, a chameleon’s art, But I whisper, I’ve silenced the flawed heart. Slayed the old, in darkness reborn, A soul this harsh world could no longer scorn.
