War and Sorrow
As i walk through a field of dead men, under my boots i feel their blood My face, pale and cold; My ears, deafened by the sound of gunfire in the distance Reminding me of my fragile existence; Wishing i could see my family once more, I fall into the pit of gore; Looking into my fellow soldiers dead eyes, I realise, it's time to say my goodbyes; In a last attemp at redemption, I pray to God, that, in an effort so bold, I could return home and get to grow old.
