walls of ice
"what's depression like?" well imagine if you will there's a person frozen, barely alive but she's fighting, fighting for light, warmth. she fights because she knows it's not over she fights because she can't accept the disappearance of herself, her memories. Even though she fights and she claws her ways to the surface as she barely sees the sunlight peering through the thick icy casing of the lake something grabs her, holds her in the water. She suffers for a while and she watches people on top of the ice and she wishes she could scream for help but she can't. She wonders "why can't they see me?.." "can't they tell I'm dying down here?..." she watches people come and go none helping her none really trying because they don't want to fall into the icy depths with her so they leave, it's easy to leave. She becomes numb she can't feel the freezing cold she can't feel anything. She doesn't feel relieved when people pass over the ice anymore because she feels like they don't see her, and maybe she's right. By the time they find her she's gone just a frozen corpse that no one noticed was right beneath their feet. Don't let it get too late it's never too late to speak up about mental illness.
