Waiting in Silence
In silence, I wait, a teenager lost, Unsure of what this connection may cost. You text me, I respond with eager haste, But your replies come slow, a bitter taste. I forgive your delays, your excuses so weak, Yet my heart grows heavy, my spirit grows meek. Do you not see the pain that I conceal? Your words, once sweet, now feel unreal. I long for your presence, your genuine care, But it seems you use me, unaware. In this emotional game, I'm left to ponder, Will you ever understand, or will I wander?
