Waiting
I'm as excited as a dog to see you You don't know how much I've missed you I miss you more than anything But, hopeful like a child, I know I'll see you In a few hours, in a few days You'll be here next to me I've been waiting for you like a dog But you never come Throught the snowstorms, rains and hails I know you'll never come But I'm still waiting Patiently enough to be invisible You've always had me at your fingertips And you played me on your fingers Making me wait for you through cold winters And when you came you'd only kiss me goodbye But I still waited regardless, spending my life at your door Bleeding my guts out for you I feel cold, you've drained me of all my power I feel powerless, but I'm still waiting Like a dog, hoping with my last drop of blood that you'll be back Watching everyone else living their lives While I'm here, chained by my heart to your doorstep I'm lethargic, I'm dying, you're killing me by making me wait I hate waiting, but I'm doing it for you I'd love if I was different, I'd love if you were too But I can't wish on a star that I can't see 'Cause I don't know if it even exists I don't even know if you exist or if I've made you up while waiting for someone else
