Waiting
How can I wait for something unsure, When all I feel is the pull of doubt? I’m not tired, but curious, Curious how this will turn out. In darkness, I find comfort and peace, I don’t expect, but choose this pain. Love may not be enough to keep me, But what I’ll learn is worth the strain. They say, "Say you love her, that’s why you wait," But love alone won’t make me stay. Small wounds can destroy a heart, And I’ll wait just a little longer today. It’s tiring, but I hope the pain Will teach me lessons deep and true. If not, I’ll be mad forever, But for now, I’ll wait for you.
