Waited at the door
I leave little hints at their door but no one sees them, Voices in my head won't settle down, it keeps me up till AM, I tried lying and smiling and encouraging everyone else I'm fine, My lips curves into a smile and i let out a laugh but it's all a lie, I ring the doorbell but no one answers, Wishing I could get cancer, So I'll die, but slowly, I portray to be so holy, I need help, I waited and waited by the door, Someone was always home, someone always answered but I guess it all changed, nothing is like it was before, Everyone left, promises got broken, And words were left unspoken, No one said anything but I waited and waited at the door, Hoping someone will open, hoping someone will be there but no one lived there anymore.
